Position: Director of Youth Ministries (part-time), reporting to the EBC Diaconate
Job Summary: EBC is seeking an engaging, passionate, and collaborative individual for the part-time role of Director of Youth Ministries. This person will inspire the spiritual formation of our Middle School and High School youth to become committed followers of Jesus Christ, emphasizing discipleship and service, for the youth of our community.
Responsibilities and Duties:
• Lead weekly Youth Group meetings, in person, that promote fun, fellowship, and spiritual development, in accordance with the teachings and beliefs of Easton Baptist Church.
• Work collaboratively with staff and other ministry leaders, encouraging inclusion of youth in all aspects of EBC.
• Coordinate a monthly special event away from the church for youth to promote fellowship, service, and discipleship, including an annual Youth Group retreat.
• Regularly attend Family Bible School and worship Sunday mornings.
• Mentor youth leaders to encourage their peers in discipleship, teaching, and prayer.
• Recruit, train, and manage youth ministry volunteers from the congregation.
• Effectively communicate with families and the church about upcoming events, ongoing youth ministry activities, and any essential information to ensure everyone feels informed, connected, and engaged.
• Attend monthly Ministry Council meetings and meet at least monthly with the Pastor.
• Attend a Spiritual Formation Conference or Youth Training Conference at least once every other year, for your own spiritual walk and ministry skills development.
• Participate in an annual review with the Diaconate for encouragement and accountability.
• Complete all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Be a follower of Jesus Christ and have a growing relationship with the Lord.
• Have a heart for youth and youth ministry.
• Your faith must be self-evident in your daily speech and activity, and conduct yourself in a Christ-like manner, including on social media.
• Proficient in using social media across multiple platforms or willingness to learn
• A bachelor level degree or relevant experience.
• Prior experience working with and relating to youth in group settings.
• Successfully pass background checks.
Compensation:
• $30.00 per hour up to 20 hours per week.
• Use of a 3-bed room second floor apartment in Easton, MA.
• One annual conference paid by EBC.
